We know you have options when it comes to accommodations in the Lake Tahoe/Truckee, CA area, and to make sure you have the best stay possible if you select the Tahoe Star Hotel, we invite you to review our guest policies.
RATES:
Room and suite rates are based on double occupancy. Additional charges include $25 per night, per guest, including children over the age of two years. A 13.25% Occupancy Room Tax (subject to change) also applies.
DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT TERMS:
To secure your reservation, we do charge the first night’s stay as the deposit at the time of booking on your Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express card provided. Your reservation is not confirmed until your deposit has been successfully processed. The remaining balance will be charged at check-in. If you are arriving after check-in hours, your card will be charged that day.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
We understand that sometimes your travel plans will change. Please let us know seven or more days before your arrival date if you need to make any changes to your reservation. If you do need to cancel, there is a $35 processing fee per room. If you cancel less than seven days of your stay date, you will forfeit your deposit. All cancelled reservations, regardless of notice or reason, will be charged a $35 minimum cancellation fee.
Cancellation Policy for Group Events and Holiday Period
Please let us know at least 15 days before your arrival date if you need to make any changes to your reservation. If you do need to cancel, there is a $35 processing fee per room.
If you cancel within 8 to 14 days of your stay date, there is a $100 processing fee per room.
If you cancel within 7 days of your arrival date, you will forfeit your deposit.
*No refunds are provided for late arrivals, early departures, no-shows, or weather-related cancellations.
CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT TIMES:
We ask that guests check in between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm. If you are planning on arriving later than 5:00 pm, please let the innkeeper know so that we can arrange to provide you with after-hours access. Our check-out time is 11:00 am, if you are any later, we do charge $30 late fee.
We are a small business, and our daily hours vary. For inquiries about early check-in please email us your requested time.
PETS:
Though we are pet people, the Tahoe Star Hotel is a Non-pet hotel. If you are bringing your furry friend to stay with you in Truckee, please contact the Truckee Tahoe Pet Lodge, down the street from the hotel, at 530-582-7268. Of course, Legitimate trained service animals are welcome!
If you made your reservation through a third party (Expedia, Booking.com, etc.), you are responsible for adhering to the policies that you agreed to when making your reservation through the third party and you must contact them directly to make any changes to your reservation.
