From Reno-Tahoe airport (approximately 40 miles) take Interstate 580 North to Interstate 80 West. Arriving in Truckee, take the Central Truckee exit, turning south, go around the roundabout and drive through downtown Truckee on Donner Pass Road (2 blocks). At the stop sign at Old Brockway Road (gas stations on the corners), turn right. Cross over the railroad tracks and drive past West River Road to the small one-way entrance to Riverside Drive and turn right by Dark Horse Coffee. The second building on the right is the Tahoe Star Hotel and parking. If you miss the turn into Riverside Drive and cross over the Truckee River you have gone a tad too far!
