In the Sierra Nevada Mountain range, as summer officially arrives. Try paddle boarding and kayaking on Donner Lake it’s a tranquil way to enjoy the stunning mountain views plus floating down the Truckee River another way to spend a hot day and stop to take a swim in the beautiful clear crisp water. There’s plenty of outdoor activities around. Perhaps you can visit North Star Resort or Palisades a quick drive for more outdoor adventures and a variety of music festivals, Look for the Alpen Wine Festival in Olympic Valley.
